Doulas are non-clinical birth companions who provide physical, emotional, and informational support. Doulas do not perform clinical tasks such as vaginal examinations, fetal heart rate auscultation, blood pressure checks, or medical diagnosis.
All birth workers utilizing our client agreements agree that it is their sole professional responsibility to practice strictly within the scope of practice defined by their certifying organizations (e.g., DONA, ProDoula, CAPPA) and local statutory laws.
